Negligent Non-Provision of Security

Real Property and Business owners are under a legal duty to keep their premises reasonably safe, in order to prevent harm to individuals who enter onto the land. This legal duty is typified by a grocery store's duty to keep the floor dry and clear of debris to prevent customers from being injured in a slip and fall. This duty extends to various places of business with inherent risk involved in daily or nightly operation.
