Search for answers continues after fatal car accident

A tragic car accident in California claimed the lives of four people -- including a mother and her son -- after a vehicle simply plowed through a red light and slammed into a group of pedestrians outside of a church.

It is unclear at this time why the wreck occurred. The police suspect that the driver was using prescription medication, and it is unclear if that medication contributed to the driver running the red light, and crashing into a group of pedestrians.

In addition to the deceased victims in this accident, five children and eight adults were injured, though these injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

As senseless and tragic as this accident is, and as taboo as it may seem to consider it so soon to the accident, the victims and their loved ones involved in this crash need to consider legal action. Of course, their specific action must await the results of the police investigation -- but in the meantime, they can discuss things with a lawyer.

Money won't bring back the people who were killed, and money won't make you miraculously heal. However, it will help a family in distress after a car accident so that they can pay for medical bills and other services that are necessary in the wake of a crash. It's also not all about the money or the compensation that can be garnered in the lawsuit. In many ways, this is about justice -- as small as it may seem given the magnitude of the car accident in question.
