Speeding driver kills 4, injures 3 in collision

Speeding is dangerous no matter what time of day it is. During the daytime, cars are all over the roads, making it dangerous because of a high population of vehicles. At night, drivers can't see as well, and speeding then can lead to sudden accidents in the dark.

That may have been part of the cause of the accident that just cost several people their lives. Four people were killed and another person was seriously injured when a driver ran a red light near Chula Vista. According to the news, it was around 2 a.m. when the vehicle sped through a red light, colliding with a Honda Odyssey. After striking the van, the Acura lost control and struck a traffic light pole, cutting the vehicle in two.

At the time of the report the following day, it was known that three people in the car had been ejected and killed. One other was killed inside the vehicle, and a fifth suffered critical injuries. Two people in the van were injured as well.

The news hasn't reported who has passed away, but it seems as though the driver of the vehicle survived the crash. Police haven't offered any information on the condition of the survivor or if drugs or alcohol played a part in the collision.

If you've been in an accident like this one, you know that you have been the victim of someone's poor decisions. It's your right to make a claim against the person responsible for your injuries, so you can get the money and support you need while you recover from your injuries.
